Walkr exists because of our own experiences as pet owners. Over the years, my wife and I have found it surprisingly difficult to find suitable pet care when we’ve needed it. Too often it has meant trawling through Facebook posts, relying on word of mouth, or hoping that the right recommendation happens to be available at the right time.It has always felt fragmented and uncertain, especially when you are trusting someone with an animal you care deeply about. There never seemed to be a single, straightforward place to look, compare options, and feel confident about the decision.So we came up with the idea for Walkr.We are still in our early days, but our aim is to grow Walkr into a simple, trusted place where pet owners can find and book local walkers and sitters in one place, without unnecessary stress or guesswork.

Walkr is being built carefully. Walkers and sitters are approved before joining, and we check identity, experience, and references.For overnight boarding, sitters must hold the appropriate Isle of Man registration, which we verify as part of the approval process.
